Description
- GE IC200UEX626 | DIN Rail Mount Analog Module Machine Control Systems
- At-A-Glance Executive Brief
- Full Part Number: IC200UEX626
- Brand: GE Fanuc / Emerson
- Part Type: VersaMax Micro analog expansion module
- I/O Configuration: 4 differential analog inputs, 2 single-ended analog outputs
- Platform Compatibility: VersaMax Micro series PLC controllers
- Lifecycle Status: OEM obsolescent legacy automation spare
- Technical IntroductionMany VersaMax Micro base controllers ship with limited onboard analog capacity and cannot interface directly with transmitters, valve positioners and variable speed drives without expansion hardware. The IC200UEX626 connects via flat ribbon expansion cable to extend analog I/O capacity for machine control and small process applications. All channels support multiple industry standard signal ranges including 4–20mA and 0–10VDC with 12-bit resolution. A single Micro PLC can accommodate up to four of these expansion units to scale analog measurement and control points.Best Suited For
- Machine builder equipment retrofits running legacy VersaMax Micro PLC hardware
- Spare part stocking for packaging, material handling and small batch processing lines
- Field replacement of failed analog expansion modules during scheduled downtime

- Field Engineer’s Tech Notes
- Verify ribbon expansion cable length. Maximum allowed distance between the main Micro PLC and IC200UEX626 is 2 meters. Longer cables introduce signal noise and intermittent communication faults on the expansion bus.
- Configure channel signal range within programming software after physical installation. Incorrect range selection will produce scaled reading errors from field transmitters and cause improper output control to final control devices.
- Adaptive QA & Testing ProtocolEach unit receives full visual inspection for terminal corrosion, cracked casing and ribbon connector damage. Bench testing includes 4–20mA signal injection on all analog input channels and output load testing across both AO channels. Expansion bus communication validation is completed using compatible VersaMax Micro hardware. Test screenshots or short verification videos can be provided upon buyer request prior to shipment.
- Buyer’s FAQCan IC200UEX626 hot-swap while the main VersaMax Micro PLC remains powered?Hot removal is not supported. Disconnecting the expansion ribbon cable energized triggers controller faults and forces a PLC stop state. Power down the rack before module exchange.
What is the maximum number of modules one VersaMax Micro controller can support?A single Micro PLC allows installation of up to four analog expansion units to expand available analog I/O points.
Are alternate revisions such as -B fully drop-in compatible?Rev B hardware is mechanically and electrically interchangeable with base . No program changes are required for direct field replacement.
What warranty terms apply to this legacy PLC expansion module?Standard limited warranty covers verified hardware defects. Warranty does not cover damage caused by overvoltage, incorrect field wiring or exposure to corrosive cabinet atmosphere.
